The Role
As a hands-on Engineering Manager, you will lead the team building the Super Platform—our environment integrating GPU, Quantum, and AI compute. You will sit at the intersection of people leadership and deep technical execution, spending about 50% of your time on mentorship and 50% on high-level architecture and coding.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-caliber team of systems, backend, and platform engineers.
- Systems Architecture: Design low-latency software to orchestrate heterogeneous resources (GPUs, QPUs, and CPUs).
- Technical Ownership: Drive core platform pillars—whether in Backend (Go/Rust/C++), AI Infrastructure (GPU clusters/MLOps), or DevOps (K8s/Terraform).
- R&D to Production: Bridge the gap between Quantum Algorithm prototypes and robust, enterprise-ready services.
- Operational Excellence: Own the roadmap, sprint planning, and engineering metrics to ensure reliable, high-performance delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Systems Expertise: 6+ years in systems engineering with deep knowledge of distributed systems and concurrency.
- Leadership: 2+ years of formal experience managing or leading engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
- Domain Mastery: Deep hands-on proficiency in at least one: Backend (Go/Rust/C++), AI Infra (CUDA/Triton/PyTorch), or DevOps (K8s Internals/IaC).
- Leadership Style: Empathetic leader with the ability to align technical talent with business Strategy.
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
- Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) or NVIDIA CUDA-Q.
- Direct experience with hybrid cloud automation and bare-metal orchestration.
- Background in scaling engineering teams from the ground up.
