Seeking a Quantum Engineer for the advancement of cutting-edge quantum computing technologies based on Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and characterization of advanced AMO quantum computing systems, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists to push the boundaries of quantum hardware performance.
Responsibilitie
- System Design & Implementation: Design and build state-of-the-art quantum computing hardware utilizing AMO platform
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to verify, validate, and integrate hardware modules, optical subsystems, and control software
- Error & Noise Mitigation: Investigate primary sources of environmental noise, crosstalk, and decoherence, and propose robust mitigation or error-reduction strategies
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex experimental data and draw meaningful conclusions to guide iterative system improvements and fidelity optimizations
- R&D Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in AMO physics, quantum information science, and scalable quantum architectures to maintain a competitive technological edge
