About Secure Quantum
Secure Quantum is a specialized subsidiary of Applied Quantum focused on defending organizations and nations against the looming threats of the quantum age. We deliver advanced quantum-safe security services – including post-quantum cryptography readiness, quantum-resistant network solutions, and crypto-agility programs – to ensure our clients remain secure and compliant as quantum technology advances. Our multidisciplinary team, spanning cybersecurity experts, cryptographers, and quantum scientists, collaborates to help industries like finance, telecom, and critical infrastructure safeguard their operations in the quantum era.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Post-Quantum Transformation Program Manager to lead and coordinate large-scale cryptography transition projects for our clients. In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of enterprise-wide initiatives to replace or upgrade vulnerable cryptographic systems with quantum-resistant solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional internal teams and client stakeholders in sectors such as banking, telecommunications, and government, ensuring these transformation programs are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption. This is a high-impact role driving our clients’ journey to crypto-agility and post-quantum readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Roadmap Development: Create comprehensive roadmaps for transitioning organizations to post-quantum cryptography. This includes conducting cryptographic inventories, assessing risk levels, setting priorities, and defining project phases and timelines for migration.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate across internal teams (cryptographers, security engineers, consultants) and client departments (IT, security, compliance) to align objectives, requirements, and resources for each phase of the program.
- Project Oversight: Oversee multiple project workstreams – from pilot implementations to full deployment – ensuring milestones are met and deliverables maintain high quality. Proactively manage issues, dependencies, and change requests throughout the program lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with migrating to post-quantum cryptography. Develop contingency plans to address challenges such as compatibility issues, performance impacts, or regulatory considerations during the transition.
- Communication & Reporting: Provide regular progress updates and executive briefings to senior management (both within Secure Quantum and client leadership). Communicate program status, key decisions, and risk areas clearly, and adjust plans based on feedback.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all transition activities adhere to relevant security standards and emerging regulations (e.g. NIST PQC guidelines, industry-specific compliance requirements). Maintain thorough documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in project/program management, with a proven track record of leading complex technology or cybersecurity transformation projects. Experience managing cryptography, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure upgrade programs is highly desirable.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of cybersecurity and cryptography fundamentals. Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI), encryption algorithms, and the challenges of implementing post-quantum cryptography (knowledge of NIST PQC standards is a strong plus).
- Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership skills in managing multi-phase projects. Certification such as PMP or PgMP is a plus, as is experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile/Scrum and Waterfall).
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Capable of interfacing with both technical teams and C-level/client executives, and of translating complex technical plans into clear action items and status reports.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to anticipate obstacles in the transition process and devise solutions. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make informed decisions to keep programs on track.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience) is a plus.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus, as some programs may involve government clients or sensitive critical infrastructure projects.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to lead pioneering security transformation programs that shape the future of cybersecurity in the quantum era.
- A dynamic, collaborative workplace at the cutting edge of both cybersecurity and quantum technology.
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
- Flexible work arrangements (remote options and flexible hours) to promote work-life balance.
- Ongoing professional development, including training in emerging quantum-safe technologies and leadership development opportunities.
